Astro-Bot

New tutorial from Omnis School: creating a small animated robot inspired by Astro-Bot, 3D modeling, textures

New tutorial from Omnis School on how to make a small animated robot.

Normally, the guide was supposed to provide an image of the robot for reference, but this was not the case. So I looked for another character, the famous Astro-Bot from PlayStation Studios.

No major difficulties, except for displaying the sphere that serves as an antenna in a very fluorescent color, which unfortunately cannot be seen in the rendering above, but it is there.

Next step: rigging and animation.

Otherwise, I finished Invasion, which isn’t too bad, but I don’t understand why so many series end up falling into the same trap of wordy interactions and saccharine stories that don’t really develop the characters or relationships. It just seems like filler, and that raises questions. Today, a series is eight 45-minute episodes roughly every two years. Even older series with more than 20 episodes were less prone to this issue, so they should have time to polish their scripts anyway…

And since the second season of Monarch is coming out very soon, I’ve started watching Legendary’s Monsterverse saga again, starting of course with Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla, which is still as awesome as ever.

Godzilla 7/10

Ça reste une impressionnante entrée en matière dans cet univers et sûrement la meilleure suite à Jurassic Park.
