Who am I?

After a decade in the field of web development, I decided to embark on a journey into the creative arts, hoping to fulfill a lifelong dream. From a young age, I developed a particular interest in movies, captivated by films produced or directed by Steven Spielberg, while remaining open to all genres, styles, and approaches.

So I trained in editing on DaVinci Resolve and in 3D with Blender. Even though I appreciate and have practiced the famous “third writing” a lot, the idea of creating my own imagery, my own worlds with no limits but my imagination, seemed to me to be a more immediate urgency.

This blog is therefore intended to document my journey and share my passions.

Lacydonyx?

The lacydon (salt marsh in Greek) is the name given by the Phocaeans to the cove where the Old Port of Marseille is located today. Being from Marseille is an important part of my identity; I identify with the founding myth of the Phocaean city, which tells how Gyptis, daughter of the Segobrigian king Nanos, chose the Greek sailor Protis as her husband, thus sealing the founding of Massalia, a city open to the Mediterranean Sea and to newcomers.

Another specific interest of mine, which I explored in particular with Jurassic Park, is dinosaurs. Based on the Baryonyx, a theropod from the Early Cretaceous period, I added the suffix -yx to make the name sound like that of an animal from that era.
